A pioneering company
Oscar Gárate and Hans den Bieman, the managing partners, both have extensive experience in the salmon farming industry and are fully committed to the sustainable development of the industry.
The company started the operation of its first fish farm in 2008 in the midst of the biggest crisis of the salmon industry in Chile, caused by ISA. A second farm was built in 2010. The total surface area of both farms is over 22,000 square meters. Each farm produces smolts for a specific client according to the standards and procedures developed by Sealand and agreed and supervised by the client. Complete transparency, trust and commitment form the foundations of our relationships with our clients. Total investment in Sealand Aquaculture to date exceed $50 million (USD).
